Please remember DO NOT GIVE JERKY TREATS TO YOUR PETS, ANY KIND, ANY FLAVOR, FOREIGN OR DOMESTIC.   I still see reports on my Vet Info Network about Fanconi Syndrome and deaths in 2024!!    If you must give jerky then  dehydrate your own meats OR purchase human grade jerky -remember NO spices though, OR get the Hills Science diet fake jerky which is what I use here as treats.

Food, Exercise and Obesity are entwined issues.  It has been said, "You  are what you eat." Since our pets have no control over purchasing good  foods, it is up to us to make sure they receive healthy balanced diets.   Obesity, and its associated health problems, is on the rise in our pet  population and it is up to us to rectify the problem!!  If using  training treats, decrease the kibble or use allotted kibble as the treat  to ensure no extra calories are fed. Also, consider using fruits and  veggies like apple pieces, green beans, and carrot pieces. Counting  calories and increased exercise is the key to weight loss in animals and  people.Please check out the following:
